Adeta – Wall & flooring project, November 2017

Phase III: Wall plastering & flooring …..

This is when the before and after photos tells the story nicely… This is our second project and we have learnt a lot about how to make our money just go that wee bit further… It called for finding loyal and hardworking people dedicated to our cause… This project has sourced labour directly, and is being closely supervised by one of the foundation’s volunteers. The speed at which the workers stripped the walls to the bare blocks, and the re-plastering of the walls with great precision, tells me we hit the bullseye to perfection… they all gave 100% and on that note it’s a big thank you to everyone … “Home Edition” step aside.

We are almost there… the finishing line is close…

A reminder of the classrooms before…

and now …

The walls of all three classrooms were stripped. The walls needed a lot more work than we originally estimated… nevertheless the labour force have delivered the quality of work very few would match with the price… in other words the workers were giving back too…

The floors too…

Thanks to everyone for their generous donations and support of Bhamuson Foundation.

It’s all coming together…

We honestly can’t wait to see the kids’ faces when the job is completely finished… hoping it encourages them to want to attend school regularly…

The final phase will be to paint the building and provide wiring to the classrooms.

The before and after photos certainly make it clear that this is all worthwhile.
